House Plans from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Awhile ago, we featured M-4455 extreme on our homepage. M-4455 extreme is a really great 1 1/2 story homeplan, but the thing that made it unique was the fact that it had been built on national television.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", it is ABC's Emmy Award-winning reality TV series that brings entire communities together in service to provide a deserving family with a new home and a new chance at life. Since early 2004, the Extreme Makeover Team has been traveling the country in search of families that are in serious need of a new home. The family is then given a week-long, all-expense-paid vacation, meanwhile, the Extreme Makeover Team joins with volunteers from the community to build the new home before the family returns on day 7.

Allow me to introduce you to M-3981 extreme. It isn't exactly a new home design, but I guess that doesn't really matter. Lately we've had a lot of people asking us house plans from ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, so here it is. For those of you who are fans of the show, you'll probably recognize that M-3981 extreme was used for the Westbrook family in Lawton Oklahoma.

This is a very stylish home that draws heavily upon Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie Style, but the thing that really makes this home stand out is that it is wheelchair accessible. You see, two members of the Westbrook family are confined to wheelchairs, and this house was designed to make them feel at home.

The workshop is a great addition, and you're going to love the open great room and dining area; the fireplace really is a nice touch. But I'm not going to sit here and tell you all about it you should.
