Natural Small Houses Designin in Thailand by TYIN Tegnestue

Remember the orphanage’s library in Thailand we featured not too long ago which was designed by TYIN Tegnestue, the nonprofit non-profit organization that does humanitarian work through architecture? Well, this time we decided to show you the orphan’s house. You might see it a simple house in design and decent but for us here in best home design, we just love the naturalism, the materials that made those natural housing which used natural materials, and purely they made it from earth materials.

Soe Ker project for the orphanage was completed in February 2009. The starting point of the project was to recreate a more normal life for children. “We wanted every child to have its own private space, a house to live and a neighborhood where they could interact and play. These units sleep six are our answer to this.” stated the architect.
By their appearance, the houses were called Ker Soe Tie, butterfly houses. Bamboo fabric is the technique used in the lateral walls. The shape of the roof allows natural ventilation, efficient, and also allows the collection of rainwater. The wooden structure is prefabricated and assembled on site. The architects have made a more sustainable building and healthy, apart from that they will not only stand today but also long lasting in the future. It’s a great natural small house design.
